Noah Didn’t Wait for the Storm to Pass, He Taught Us to Dance in the Rain

This is the line of Noach.—Noach was a righteous man; he was blameless in his age; Noach walked with Hashem.—

Genesis 6:9

Noah was confronted with a monstrous storm, one that the world could not avoid. If we ponder the Torah carefully, we can glean lessons of spiritual growth from Noah’s actions in how he brought us all to a new world.

The whole world is waiting for a new world, the Messianic era. Rabbi Avraham Trugman teaches that our world will last 6,000 years, and since we just started the Hebrew year 5782, we are getting closer to the End of Days. However, that is when the real hard work begins. It is the job of the Messiah to bring about an entirely new consciousness.

The miracles taking place in Israel over the last century coupled with all the technological advances are definitely a part of our journey towards Moshiach. Noah taught us the ability to start again, which is such a vital lesson when we encounter disappointments or setbacks in life.

In this video, Rabbi Trugman will explain how all the bumps we experience are meant to prepare us for our ultimate reward in the days to come. After all, Noah didn’t wait for the storm to pass, he taught us how to dance in the rain.

Recorded in October 2020.
