1Then Moshe and the Israelites sang this song to Hashem. They said: I will sing to Hashem, for He has triumphed gloriously; Horse and driver He has hurled into the sea.
אאָז יָשִׁיר־מֹשֶׁה וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת לַיהֹוָה וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֵאמֹר אָשִׁירָה לַיהֹוָה כִּי־גָאֹה גָּאָה סוּס וְרֹכְבוֹ רָמָה בַיָּם׃
2Hashem is my strength and might; He is become my deliverance. This is my God and I will enshrine Him; The God of my father, and I will exalt Him.
בעָזִּי וְזִמְרָת יָהּ וַיְהִי־לִי לִישׁוּעָה זֶה אֵלִי וְאַנְוֵהוּ אֱלֹהֵי אָבִי וַאֲרֹמְמֶנְהוּ׃
3Hashem, the Warrior—Hashem is His name!
גיְהֹוָה אִישׁ מִלְחָמָה יְהֹוָה שְׁמוֹ׃
4Pharaoh's chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; And the pick of his officers Are drowned in the Sea of Reeds.
דמַרְכְּבֹת פַּרְעֹה וְחֵילוֹ יָרָה בַיָּם וּמִבְחַר שָׁלִשָׁיו טֻבְּעוּ בְיַם־סוּף׃
5The deeps covered them; They went down into the depths like a stone.
התְּהֹמֹת יְכַסְיֻמוּ יָרְדוּ בִמְצוֹלֹת כְּמוֹ־אָבֶן׃
6Your right hand, Hashem, glorious in power, Your right hand, Hashem, shatters the foe!
ויְמִינְךָ יְהֹוָה נֶאְדָּרִי בַּכֹּחַ יְמִינְךָ יְהֹוָה תִּרְעַץ אוֹיֵב׃
7In Your great triumph You break Your opponents; You send forth Your fury, it consumes them like straw.
זוּבְרֹב גְּאוֹנְךָ תַּהֲרֹס קָמֶיךָ תְּשַׁלַּח חֲרֹנְךָ יֹאכְלֵמוֹ כַּקַּשׁ׃
8At the blast of Your nostrils the waters piled up, The floods stood straight like a wall; The deeps froze in the heart of the sea.
חוּבְרוּחַ אַפֶּיךָ נֶעֶרְמוּ מַיִם נִצְּבוּ כְמוֹ־נֵד נֹזְלִים קָפְאוּ תְהֹמֹת בְּלֶב־יָם׃
9The foe said, “I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall have its fill of them. I will bare my sword—My hand shall subdue them.”
טאָמַר אוֹיֵב אֶרְדֹּף אַשִּׂיג אֲחַלֵּק שָׁלָל תִּמְלָאֵמוֹ נַפְשִׁי אָרִיק חַרְבִּי תּוֹרִישֵׁמוֹ יָדִי׃
10You made Your wind blow, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the majestic waters.
ינָשַׁפְתָּ בְרוּחֲךָ כִּסָּמוֹ יָם צָלֲלוּ כַּעוֹפֶרֶת בְּמַיִם אַדִּירִים׃
11Who is like You, Hashem, among the celestials; Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in splendor, working wonders!

יאמִי־כָמֹכָה בָּאֵלִם יְהֹוָה מִי כָּמֹכָה נֶאְדָּר בַּקֹּדֶשׁ נוֹרָא תְהִלֹּת עֹשֵׂה פֶלֶא׃
12You put out Your right hand, The earth swallowed them.
יבנָטִיתָ יְמִינְךָ תִּבְלָעֵמוֹ אָרֶץ׃
13In Your love You lead the people You redeemed; In Your strength You guide them to Your holy abode.
יגנָחִיתָ בְחַסְדְּךָ עַם־זוּ גָּאָלְתָּ נֵהַלְתָּ בְעָזְּךָ אֶל־נְוֵה קָדְשֶׁךָ׃
14The peoples hear, they tremble; Agony grips the dwellers in Philistia.
ידשָׁמְעוּ עַמִּים יִרְגָּזוּן חִיל אָחַז יֹשְׁבֵי פְּלָשֶׁת׃
15Now are the clans of Edom dismayed; The tribes of Moab—trembling grips them; All the dwellers in Canaan are aghast.
טואָז נִבְהֲלוּ אַלּוּפֵי אֱדוֹם אֵילֵי מוֹאָב יֹאחֲזֵמוֹ רָעַד נָמֹגוּ כֹּל יֹשְׁבֵי כְנָעַן׃
16Terror and dread descend upon them; Through the might of Your arm they are still as stone—Till Your people cross over, Hashem, Till Your people cross whom You have ransomed.
טזתִּפֹּל עֲלֵיהֶם אֵימָתָה וָפַחַד בִּגְדֹל זְרוֹעֲךָ יִדְּמוּ כָּאָבֶן עַד־יַעֲבֹר עַמְּךָ יְהֹוָה עַד־יַעֲבֹר עַם־זוּ קָנִיתָ׃
17You will bring them and plant them in Your own mountain, The place You made to dwell in, Hashem, The sanctuary, Hashem, which Your hands established.
t'-vi-AY-mo v'-ti-ta-AY-mo b'-HAR na-kha-la-t'-KHA ma-KHON l'-shiv'-t'-KHA pa-al-TA ah-do-NAI mik'-DASH ah-do-NAI ko-n'-NU ya-de-KHA
יזתְּבִאֵמוֹ וְתִטָּעֵמוֹ בְּהַר נַחֲלָתְךָ מָכוֹן לְשִׁבְתְּךָ פָּעַלְתָּ יְהֹוָה מִקְּדָשׁ אֲדֹנָי כּוֹנְנוּ יָדֶיךָ׃
15:17 And plant them in Your own mountain
Olive trees in northern Israel.
“And plant them in Your own mountain” is understood as a reference either to Har Habayit or to the entire Land of Israel. When Hashem says that the Jewish people will be planted in Eretz Yisrael, He means that they will establish roots there and flourish. The Midrash explains that this is a reference to the time of Mashiach, when the Children of Israel will be brought back to the Land of Israel, never to be uprooted again. For two thousand years, Jews have been asking for the fulfillment of this verse each week as part of the Shabbat prayers, “bring us with happiness to our land and plant us in our borders.”
18Hashem will reign for ever and ever!
יחיְהֹוָה יִמְלֹךְ לְעֹלָם וָעֶד׃
19For the horses of Pharaoh, with his chariots and horsemen, went into the sea; and Hashem turned back on them the waters of the sea; but the Israelites marched on dry ground in the midst of the sea.
יטכִּי בָא סוּס פַּרְעֹה בְּרִכְבּוֹ וּבְפָרָשָׁיו בַּיָּם וַיָּשֶׁב יְהֹוָה עֲלֵהֶם אֶת־מֵי הַיָּם וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הָלְכוּ בַיַּבָּשָׁה בְּתוֹךְ הַיָּם׃
20Then Miriam the Neviah, Aharon's sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her in dance with timbrels.
כוַתִּקַּח מִרְיָם הַנְּבִיאָה אֲחוֹת אַהֲרֹן אֶת־הַתֹּף בְּיָדָהּ וַתֵּצֶאןָ כָל־הַנָּשִׁים אַחֲרֶיהָ בְּתֻפִּים וּבִמְחֹלֹת׃
21And Miriam chanted for them: Sing to Hashem, for He has triumphed gloriously; Horse and driver He has hurled into the sea.
כאוַתַּעַן לָהֶם מִרְיָם שִׁירוּ לַיהֹוָה כִּי־גָאֹה גָּאָה סוּס וְרֹכְבוֹ רָמָה בַיָּם׃
22Then Moshe caused Yisrael to set out from the Sea of Reeds. They went on into the wilderness of Shur; they traveled three days in the wilderness and found no water.
כבוַיַּסַּע מֹשֶׁה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל מִיַּם־סוּף וַיֵּצְאוּ אֶל־מִדְבַּר־שׁוּר וַיֵּלְכוּ שְׁלֹשֶׁת־יָמִים בַּמִּדְבָּר וְלֹא־מָצְאוּ מָיִם׃
23They came to Marah, but they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; that is why it was named Marah.
כגוַיָּבֹאוּ מָרָתָה וְלֹא יָכְלוּ לִשְׁתֹּת מַיִם מִמָּרָה כִּי מָרִים הֵם עַל־כֵּן קָרָא־שְׁמָהּ מָרָה׃
24And the people grumbled against Moshe, saying, “What shall we drink?”
כדוַיִּלֹּנוּ הָעָם עַל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר מַה־נִּשְׁתֶּה׃
25So he cried out to Hashem, and Hashem showed him a piece of wood; he threw it into the water and the water became sweet. There He made for them a fixed rule, and there He put them to the test.
כהוַיִּצְעַק אֶל־יְהֹוָה וַיּוֹרֵהוּ יְהֹוָה עֵץ וַיַּשְׁלֵךְ אֶל־הַמַּיִם וַיִּמְתְּקוּ הַמָּיִם שָׁם שָׂם לוֹ חֹק וּמִשְׁפָּט וְשָׁם נִסָּהוּ׃
26He said, “If you will heed Hashem your God diligently, doing what is upright in His sight, giving ear to His commandments and keeping all His laws, then I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I Hashem am your healer.”
va-YO-mer im sha-MO-a tish-MA l'-KOL a-do-NAI e-lo-HE-kha v'-ha-ya-SHAR b'-ay-NAV ta-a-SEH v'-ha-a-zan-TA l'-mitz-vo-TAV v'-sha-mar-TA kol khu-KAV kol ha-ma-kha-LAH a-sher SAM-tee v'-mitz-RA-yim lo a-SEEM a-LE-kha kee a-NEE a-do-NAI ro-f'-E-kha
כווַיֹּאמֶר אִם־שָׁמוֹעַ תִּשְׁמַע לְקוֹל יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְהַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינָיו תַּעֲשֶׂה וְהַאֲזַנְתָּ לְמִצְוׂתָיו וְשָׁמַרְתָּ כָּל־חֻקָּיו כָּל־הַמַּחֲלָה אֲשֶׁר־שַׂמְתִּי בְמִצְרַיִם לֹא־אָשִׂים עָלֶיךָ כִּי אֲנִי יְהֹוָה רֹפְאֶךָ׃
27And they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees; and they encamped there beside the water.
כזוַיָּבֹאוּ אֵילִמָה וְשָׁם שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה עֵינֹת מַיִם וְשִׁבְעִים תְּמָרִים וַיַּחֲנוּ־שָׁם עַל־הַמָּיִם׃
